The Brazilian Biosafety Association - ANBio with the support of UNESCO will organize the II Symposium on Popular Diffusion of Biotechnology to be held on September 21st, 2007 at the Ouro Preto Convention Center, Brazil.
The aims of the symposium is to disseminate the new developments on biotechnology such as animal cloning, stem cells research, development of new crops to produce bioenergy and resistant to draught and other issues of interest to secondary school teachers and to the society in general, interested in science and technology. To approach science to the society is a key issue to disseminate new developments and to allow the society to make the right choices.
There is no registration fee and the symposium is open to who is interested in learning more about new developments of biotechnology.Registration can be made at the ANBio''s web site www.anbio.org.br
Biosafety meetings in Brazil will discuss international cooperation and perspectives for implementation of the Biosafety protocol.
